Today, five Greek microsatellites are in orbit within the framework of the National Microsatellite Program: two operational ICEYE satellites and three experimental/research technological demonstration satellites, testing new technologies developed in our country. The program substantially strengthens national capabilities in Earth Observation and Secure Communications, ensuring more frequent and updated data for mapping, navigation, precision agriculture, spatial planning and natural disaster response.

With the participation of universities, research institutions and Greek businesses, the program – implemented by the Ministry of Digital Governance with the support of ESA – European Space Agency and funding from the Recovery and Resilience Fund – is progressing according to plan and ensures access to the OroraTech and Open Cosmos networks.

As emphasized by the Secretary General of Telecommunications and Posts, Mr.
